Hamilton Police have identified the victim as Taranpreet Singh Sidhu, 29, of Brampton, after his body was discovered in a culvert near Fruitland Road in Stoney Creek on the morning of July 15. Investigators have now confirmed his d3ath is being treated as a homicide. Police say Taranpreet immigrated to Canada from India in 2022 and had been living in Brampton and Halifax while working as a truck driver. Investigators believe he was not k!lled where his body was found and are reviewing surveillance footage, digital evidence, and speaking with witnesses to piece together his final movements. Hamilton Police are asking anyone who had contact with Taranpreet or who may have dashcam, doorbell, or surveillance footage from the area to come forward as the investigation continues.
