This is the best response. I am a charge nurse at a hospital, and if someone calls in sick, I just told them to get better. If they can’t pick up a shift, I told them to enjoy their day off. I will always ask. I am never upset if they cannot pick up.

I took a mental health day last week and still worked my 36. Been working OT a lot on top of life BS. Burnt out is an understatement. Thanks for this bc I felt so guilty
