what i can't even fathom is i would side with any mom that hurts or worse her children. NEVER! I now see both sides of a coin. Between the utter malpractice of everyone the amount of drugs and her records stating everything. let's imagine how many details were not noted because she was prejudged from the get

She tried getting help so many times. The whole thing is tragic. Hot take: Every doctor that keep feeding her meds and not admitting her until she was stable? Should be held responsible.

I remember when this happened and omg, been waiting for the trial. And yes I think this is a complicated case. But all her kids are gone. That's horrific.

Girl, you know I don’t like trial by media. It makes me very nervous. I think in my opinion and only my opinion is that the drs have a lot to answer for for changing her meds so many times and may be even miss medication was given here. Xx

I really want to hear the expert testimony but I must admit to being appalled that so many people, across so many platforms are willing to give her a pass !

I voted but I’m really on the fence to see what happens. It’s so complex.

I haven’t followed this too closely after the initial event. Have they shared what her thoughts were about WHY she did this? Andrea Yates’ actions were intentional, but her thought process behind it was so disturbed that she was not culpable (she believed her children were being possessed by the devil and she had to send them back to heaven to save their souls).

Ppp actually isn’t that rare, rare is relative. The one outdated study shows 1-2/1000 but it doesn’t capture the full picture as it was a study in the first 6 weeks I believe. Ppp can occur within the first year. Plus 1-2/1000 is about the same incidence as Down syndrome and we do not call that rare.

She had enough sense and basic medical knowledge to get different prescriptions from different doctors and sources, and enough sense and knowledge to know what mixing those prescriptions would do.

I don’t think she’s CR, she tried getting help so many times and all they did was throw more pills at her and she’s paralyzed, I don’t think she’s a danger to anybody other than herself because I feel like I’ve seen reports that she’s still suicidal
