@seeandsavethedogs: 🚨Robert needs safe exit from the shelter in Los Angeles by Tuesday 7/21 or he will be euthanized for kenne stress 💔 Poor Robert arrived @ North Central Animal Shelter on June 8th, 2026, as ‘personal property’. LAPD brought him to the shelter after his owner was arrested 😢 Robert was placed on a mandatory 30-day hold to give his owner a chance to redeem him, but they never did. 7 days after Robert was available to the public, and to be walked by volunteers, he was given a euthanasia date for kennel stress. Per his medical notes Robert came in underweight, with visible ribs and spine, and was possibly a cruelty/welfare case 💔 He has been on extra feedings and has gained 2 lbs, but has now developed diarrhea. He cannot heal in the stressful shelter environment. Volunteers have been able to get Robert out four times in the short period that he’s been available to us. He started out as anxious in the yard but is beginning to settle and get acclimated. He likes to lick and give kisses on his friends’ faces. He loves sniffing everything and overall has a lower energy level. Robert has been in just one playgroup so far, he can be a bit stiff/jumpy during play but loosened up fine and is appropriate. He had a moment in the yard of being selective with a soft dog but was steerable. Noted to give appropriate greetings & corrections. Robert has barely had time to adjust to true shelter life. He has only been available to be walked 1 out of the 5 weeks he’s been living in a kennel. It’s understandable this pup is stressed‼️ We hope the right person steps up for Robert.
