a vessel for Your Glory ✝️ ~ Dear Lord, before I ask You for anything, remind me that You are already enough right now. Quiet the voices that have grown louder than Yours. I often find myself moving so fast, running on habit instead of resting in Your presence, and if I am honest, I can feel how far I have drifted. So slow me down right here, before I go any further. I do not have to wait for the right moment to begin again with You. So I set it all down now: the weight I have been carrying, the disappointments that have piled up, and the distractions I keep returning to. I would rather come to You emptied and surrendered than push forward full and self-sufficient. So search me, Father, and show me anything that has quietly slipped into the place that belongs to You. If I have started to worship my success, loosen its grip. If I have started to live for what people think of me, gently humble me. If I have made control my security, teach my hands to open and trust You again. And if the thing standing in Your place is simply my own plans, my own ambition, or my own understanding, I lay every bit of it at Your feet. Keep me from loving Your gifts more than I love You, and keep me from chasing opportunity so hard that I stop chasing You. Refresh my mind, renew my spirit, and let peace take the place of pressure. Let gratitude take the place of striving, let simple obedience take the place of all my distraction, and open my eyes to the everyday miracles I have stopped noticing. Tune my ears to Your voice above my own, and make me fully available to You. I do not only want to be busy or productive; I want to live in a way that pleases You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
