Idk the album was boring. I had really high hopes for something completely new especially after the snippets of out of nowhere. She cut the best track off the album. What a missed opportunity /:

imo this is almost like her TTPD...a lot of people hated TTPD bc it was sad "had no running theme" people said it was just songs thrown together and it was "sad" ... it took a while for a lot of people to like TTPD which is crazy.. I see the same with this album. to me it's deep and beautiful, I think it tells HER story , I think its great

from an album with that title, she barely talks abt being a daughter. The title track is also not giving too much story. She’s just listing instead of writing. A lot of ppl who went to the listening party gave me high hopes by comparing it to good riddance😭 i still love her i just think she shouldn’t have named the album that if she isn’t gonna talk abt it❤️

Okay so here’s my take that nobody asked for: I loved the album. I’ve been a fan since good riddance and I thought that this album was similar in the themes. I LOVE the writing, and I haven’t fully digested all of the songs yet or looked into them fully, but as of right now I think that this album IS similar to good riddance. I also definitely expected it to sound like this just bc of the singles we’d already received. Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I think the similarity to good riddance isn’t necessarily in writing complexity nor sound, but in the themes throughout the songs 😛
