What is it? Gluttony is the overindulgence in food, drink, or anything that satisfies the flesh without restraint. It’s not just about eating too much—it’s about letting desire control you, instead of being disciplined and grateful. Gluttony says: {“I need this to feel good.” “One more won’t hurt.” “I deserve it.”} But it’s a lie. Because gluttony doesn’t feed your soul, it drowns it in comfort and distraction. Why is Gluttony dangerous? Because it’s stealthy. It’s one of those sins people joke about, but it can spiritually drain you without even realizing. It numbs you from God’s voice. It creates dependency on food, pleasure, or comfort instead of prayer and discipline. It weakens your body and your willpower. And in the gym mindset, you should know this, too much comfort is the enemy of growth. Not saying comfort is bad, but too much of it is. “Their god is their stomach… their mind is set on earthly things.” — Philippians 3:19 What’s the cure for Gluttony? Self-control. Gratitude. Fasting. Spiritual focus. Gluttony says “feed me more.” Discipline says “I’ve had enough—my strength comes from God.” Try to: {Pausing before eating to give thanks Fasting not just for health, but to humble your spirit Making food fuel, not a god Reminding yourself that self-control builds power in every part of your life} —“A strong man feeds his body. A wise man trains his appetite.” The body is the temple. Not a trash can. God gave you strength, and you have to honor it every day—in the gym, in your meals, in your heart. #fyp #strength #strengthforgementality #disipline #God #Jesus #Amen #gym
