The Week That Was | Executive Mayor of Tshwane’s Diary: 6 July - 12 July 2026 💰TshwaneYaTima:  We joined the City’s Revenue Recovery Team for a Tshwane Ya Tima operation to recover money owed to the municipality by businesses and households.  🏭Stakeholder Engagement - Tiger Brands: We held a successful engagement with Tiger Brands. Discussions focused on the company’s expanded investment in Tshwane and the municipality’s infrastructure provision.  🚛Customer Care Mobile Truck Launch:  We launched the City’s Customer Care Mobile Truck. It will enable the City’s customer care services to reach all corners of Tshwane. In addition, we also unveiled additional vehicles:  Street Sweepers for use by our Waste Management Division and road marking vehicles that will be used by our Regional Operations and Coordination Department. We continue to prioritise strengthening internal capacity for the benefit of residents.  👮🏽‍♂️Bad Buildings Committee Operation, Pretoria West:  We joined the City’s Bad Buildings Committee for an operation in Pretoria West and the Pretoria CBD. Inspections targeted an illegal recycling business, an unregistered spaza shop and a second operation at Navy House.  👨🏽‍🏭✅Service Delivery War-Room Bus Tour of Tshwane:  We decided to abandon the boardroom and conduct our weekly service delivery meeting on the road with senior managers and MMCs. The purpose of this setting was to witness service delivery gaps that are visible in parts of the City so that we can better manage our response.  📋City of Tshwane Salons and Hairdressers Registration Drive:  We are committed to providing information and platforms for businesses to abide  with municipal by-laws. We hosted the City of Tshwane’s Salons and Hairdressers Registration Drive with a purpose of ensuring informal traders are registered and recognised by the municipality.  🏡  Strategic Urban Developments Oversight:  Tshwane’s Mayoral Committee held its second tour of Strategic Urban Developments that are strengthening Tshwane’s Economic Revitalisation Strategy. We visited the Rosslyn Hub Strategic Urban Development (SUD), known as the Tshwane Automotive City (TAC). We also engaged with executives from vehicle bumper manufacturer, Yanfeng Plastic Omnium.  🗳️💚ActionSA Tshwane Region Town-Hall: ActionSA held an engagement with branch chairpersons to map-out a decisive plan to grow the party’s reach and support ahead of the Local Government Elections to be held on 4 November 2026.  ⛪️ Bethlehem Society Methodist Church of Southern Africa:  We spent the morning with residents of Soshanguve for a fulfilling church service.
