K-ON! (2010) Season 2 opening with one of Yui's most memorable guitar moments. Sitting alone, she softly plays watashi no koi wa hotchkiss, instantly setting the warm, nostalgic tone that defines the season. A simple scene yet it perfectly captures why k on resonates with so many people. Her guitar is modeled after a Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s in the iconic heritage Cherry Sunburst finish, affectionately nicknamed 'Gita' throughout the series. Animated by Kyoto Animation, even the smallest guitar movements feel authentic, from the way Yui holds the instrument to the subtle finger placements on the fretboard. It's more than a performance. It's a reminder of the countless afternoons spent in the lightmusic club, where music wasn't about perfection. It was about friendship. For many fans, those opening notes of Watashi no Koi wa Hotchkiss are enough to transport them straight back to the clubroom. Sometimes, nostalgia begins with a single chord. 🍜 #anime
