I love that we all know these stories as kids. No one really knows where they came from but there were told mouth to mouth, verbal stories off memory. And its something we no longer do much as people but we used to do all the time. Just feels nostalgic

the one that always got me was one called Him. basically about a kid hiding in bed while a creature kills his parents and drags them into his room, props them up to look at him, then writes something on the wall, and hides under the bed. the kid kept pretending to be asleep until the room became bright enough to read the wall and it said, "I know you're awake." because like fr what would you even do in that situation besides cry then die 😭😭
