I have a Ford explorer and we have definitely sat in the car with it on and blast the AC. Was her engine off or I wonder if it was not running but had the radio and air on?

With an Exhaust Leak: If your car has a damaged exhaust pipe or manifold, toxic fumes can rise straight up through the floorboards or enter through the AC vents instead of exiting out the back.
