The people framing him as evil I feel is wrong, dude just wanted to be loved by the girl of his dreams, if anything it’s a movie about how dangerous love can be, bear is by no means a good guy but at the end of the day all he wanted was love, love is powerful it’s like a drug and because of the feeling he gets from Niki even if it’s not real he tries to ignore the artificial even after the truth about Niki being trapped inside her own body or it not being her, bear is not evil he’s a bad guy, but again he just wanted love

People saying that they were both victims watched the movie with their eyes closed omg. Bear was socially awkward sure, but he was a narcissistic man who put his own needs over the person he ‘loved’. He didn’t know the wish would work but as soon as he found out (which was at the dinner) he continued to play with the fantasy despite knowing it wasn’t really Nikki. It seemed like they didn’t even know eachother! Bear didn’t know what necklace to get her, he discarded her passion of being a writer, when he called the people he said to alter the wish not cancel it. He literally sucks.
