I keep seeing comments about Melanie starting this but people forget how he moved when Kayda first came in. Sincere was always going to move the way he did. He pulled Kayda for a chat in episode 3 before the whole Corbin thing with Melanie and that's where things started going south. In that same episode, Kayda said he was giving Melanie vibes that she was his number one and wasn't interested in talking to anyone else but pulled Kayda for a chat. So when him and Melanie talked that night, he said it wasn't that he was exploring when he literally said in the confessional about the 2 fish analogy. So Melanie said she didn't think he was being sincere and was gonna start also exploring
