As a paramedic, I cannot explain how incompetent this dentist is to have this child die….you gave the wrong or too much medicine, fine we can fix that - narcan, open airway, supplemental o2, bag the child until help arrives. She did absolutely everything wrong and the child had probably not been breathing for an extended time during the procedure which is why she ended up dying. The dentist should go to prison for a long time.

I work in oral surgery… we would not allow a parent to come back if someone is undergoing anesthesia. That’s protocol. However, the real issue here is why did the doctor not know correct dosages / dosing? If the patient was being sedated in any way, why weren’t vitals then monitored until recovery? And why does this doctor not know AT ALL advanced life support, like when to and when not to use the AED and the two most basic reversal medications? I promise the problem is not that the parent didn’t get to come back…please trust your healthcare professionals. The boards need to be doing a better job at making sure people like THAT don’t hold licensure…

A office where I live wanted to pull 5 teeth from my 6 YEAR OLD and put her under , I said NO! went to another dentist and all she needed was a crown . wtf is wrong w these people !!?? My heart cry’s for this baby
