I get balayage done every year. One thing I noticed is, with balayage you need to do a blowout. It’s only nice if you do a blowout or else it’ll look dry and dead

I got mine done in Thailand and it came out the same but mine was atleast even it just was literlly gray. Found out later that ash blonde to atleast Thai people means gray 😩😩. They used too an a deep ash toner with way too much purple shampoo. It irritated me so bad I got a clarifying shampoo there and washed my hair twice a day and it became the color I wanted but the photo was when they did it 😅

i also got nightmare highlights here in vietnam. costed me an insane amount of money as well, just as much as it would've in the US if not more. my hair is now uneven and burnt. i have a middle-side part but they bleached my hair as if i had a normal middle part. now instead of 2 strips of grey bangs in the front, i have a giant clump of yellow bleach blonde on one bang and the other is still black since it wasn't properly sectioned. all of the highlights are yellow. it also took more than 6 hours. i couldn't ask them to fix it because i had a reservation i was already late to.

Always sucks when a new salon doesn't come through. What was the price point? Salon quality definitely makes a huge difference if you pay a little more. Not exactly a comparison, but when I get a cut & perm here, it's around $40-75 (local stylist gets paid less 😅). I've been going to RITA Salon for 7 years now. Hope it works out next time!
