I think there are two important principles: * Your super belongs to you, not the government. The legal duty of super funds is to maximise returns for members, not to fund government priorities. If governments start directing investments for political reasons, that undermines confidence in the system. * Investing in Australia isn’t inherently a bad idea. If an Australian infrastructure or housing project offers competitive risk-adjusted returns, then it makes sense for super funds to invest. Many funds already do this because it benefits members, not because they’re told to

I don't have an issue if the supr funds are directed to "nationally owned" infrastructure projects like a national LNG grid for power or hi speed train connections between major regional cities & state capitals etc with attractive minimum "guaranteed" returns

This is why I don't pay anything into my Super. I just personally invest & buy shares. I don't want the government dictating when I can retire & I also don't want them having access to MY money & assets!!!
