Look, I know the market has some really questionable people out there. But it also has some incredible mentors. Most people think screening a mentor is about credentials. A verified track record, big account screenshots, testimonials on a landing page. None of that tells you whether the person can teach. You’ve tried figuring it out alone. You need help. You’re worried the guy you hire is another name on a list of people who took your money and gave you generic advice. Here’s how to screen for the right one. 1.	They lead with expertise, not profits. Making money and teaching someone else to do it are two different skills. A trader who’s never coached anyone can be excellent and still have no idea how to diagnose what’s wrong with your process 2.	They ask how you actually learned to trade, not just what you want to achieve. What does it take to be profitable, in your own words. How did you learn. What was your process from day one. Most problems start there. 3.	They have a roadmap for your account, not just a strategy for the charts. What you trade is one piece. How your size grows once you’re executing correctly is the other. 4.	Their psychology plan is a list of actions, not a feeling to chase. “Journal your emotions” tells you nothing to do differently tomorrow. A real coach names the specific behaviour that needs to change. 5.	They name what they can’t fix. Whether you show up between sessions. Whether the market cooperates that week. No coach controls either of those. 6.	They’re honest even when it loses them the sale. They won’t tell you to quit your job and trade full time if they don’t do that themselves. They won’t give you a timeline they can’t back up. If a mentor can’t do all six, don’t hire them. This list is from ten years experience so Comment FIX and let’s have that first conversation, free, so you can see for yourself before you commit to anything. #tradepsychology #tradingcoach #mentaltrading #tradermindset #tradingpsychology
