After literally THREE days of training, I was on my own today… and I nailed it! 🥹🙌🏼 Hearing my boss say, “Great job today,” made my whole day! I even caught a court date that needed to be added to the calendar and made sure it was on there. 🫣 Already learning how much every little detail matters! For anyone wondering what a legal assistant/paralegal does, it’s a lot of work behind the scenes helping the attorney keep cases moving….organizing client files, tracking court dates and deadlines, communicating with clients and courts, organizing discovery (the evidence and information in a case), and helping draft motions and other legal documents for the attorney to review. Basically, a whole lot of details that have to be RIGHT! ⚖️📚 I get to work from home from 9–3, and he wants me to transition into a paralegal role because of my legal training! Hopefully, I’ll soon be having $5,000–$6,000 months! 🤞🏼 It’s tedious, detailed work that keeps my brain BUSY, but I absolutely love it. All this schoolwork is finally turning into something, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me. 🫶🏻 Honestly, I don’t even know how I’ve been caring for a baby since he was born in May, taking care of Kenz in the evenings, keeping up with school, and now starting a new job. Some days I’m running on coffee, chaos, and whatever assignment is due next. 😂 But somehow, I’m doing it. I am sick right now think I got bronchitis my body isn’t used to the hustle like I used to before cancer and backsurgeries! 6 surgeries in 3 years back to back is a lot on a body! But I made it through. I’m tired, I’m excited, and I’m proud of myself. I’ve worked hard to get here, and today felt like a little reminder that I’m capable of more than I sometimes give myself credit for. 🥹❤️ #legalassistant #paralegal #remote #startedfromthebottom #criminaldefense
