why do helicopters not have a big metal strong ring around their blades , so if they crash those blades are less dangerous because they do not brake .and protect more the passengers .. as a kid I had a plastic small toy helicopter with a ring around the blades ,and when he felled on the ground the blades were still good ?🤔🙂?

For that amount of complication helicopters are still one of the safest way to travel, for something that complicated and flies the failure rate is very very low.
