You can tell who all the ‘cinemaphiles’ are. The odyssey is THE mythology story, and Nolan decided to take 75% of the mythology out of it for utterly no reason… and people are gonna glaze it because it’s Christopher Nolan

In these comment you need to understand that it's not because she used a epic song that she's a larper : she's stating facts, we didn't saw Hemes nor Odysseus mom who are important characters who have impacts on Odysseus in the original myth. "Oh but Nolan's version is more realistic", no it's not and if it wanted to be he would have made more effort on the costumes and landscapes, he would also have made the effort to not represent the soldiers buried for their funerals bc at this time bodies were cremated and it was more respectful that way. "Oh but epic is also inaccurate" yes and it never sell itself to be accurate when Christopher Nolan's movie did. None of these adaptation is accurate but at least one of them tried to include every character and didn't reduced women to plot devices who have the depth of a see seed, and I'll add that WE DIDN'T EVEN SEE POSEIDON TOO AS MUCH AS WE DIDN'T HEARD THE "NOBODY" LINE.

i think it was just too many creative liberties taken to the point that it’s not even the odyssey anymore it’s just something based off of it cause why are we taking key points out😭 it’s definitely a more “grounded” movie when it’s supposed to be about myth and magic, i mean we’re talking about greek gods like cmon😩
