This doesn't make any sense.
Ok, you had a rough childhood, so did they, that doesn't mean you and them lived the same experiences, ofc you guys will develop different ways of acting, thinking and expressing.

The villain wants others to feel what he feels, while the protagonist doesn't want what he feels to happen to others. Same pain, different reactions.

Same here, but I've come to realize that it really depends on the person. I used to tell myself this whenever my friend ignored me or treated me badly while she was going through a difficult time. Eventually, I realized that although we both had a rough childhood, the difference lies on how we choose to handle and control ourselves during those difficult moments.

Therapist I used to see always said, “And let’s pause and take a moment to think, how did he get to be who he was? Why do we think he treated you this way? Maybe his past?” And everytime I tried to explain to her that wasn’t what I needed her to say. I already know how he got to be who he way. I know why he treated me how he did. I’ve dug into his past, I see it wasn’t good. You know what though? I spent my first 17 years validating and justifying his actions. I’m done with that. I was hurt too, and I chose to try not to hurt others. He was capable of that too, but didn’t choose it.

trauma can mess with people in different ways and it's not okay to compare urself or how u turned out to how others did, everyone's experiences were different in different circumstances, no one has the right to compare the way they turn out to another

"and you won't realize how they feel by the way you treat them" because as much as I try to be nice, I always thinking if they feel uncomfortable with my attention or not because my attention is different... For example, if my friend cries, I won't comfort them, instead I say "just cry" while sitting beside them without saying or do anything... I just want them to release their emotions without feel judged or pitied, am I wrong?

But I've worked hard to move past that, sometimes I assume people haven't healed because sometimes that's harder than the trauma they encounter. You've gotta face that shit head on and not everyone is ready for that. Ofc some people dont want to change and thats on them. But for now I also wont villanize someone for not knowing any better, you can usually tell the difference

hey so um children reacted different way to traumas. some were like a sponge, they soak any bad things tjay happened and keep it for themselves. while the other is like a paper. whatever written in that paper is whatever that the child reflected. so pleade dont judge someone if you guys have the same rough childhood while the other responed diffrently :(

So fucking tired. Why should I sympathize with them when they hurt me just because they also had a tough past? I accept being called selfish. I haven't done or said anything wrong.
