We just bought my 9 month old a play kitchen today! (He’s preferring to stand and cruise these days) but usually he has major separation anxiety, even while we cook dinner and he’s in his high chair. He didn’t care even a little bit that we were away from him doing dishes! He was so absorbed with opening and closing doors and turning knobs etc. It made me so happy to watch him so focused on playing!
