@noorababy.app: I saved these on my phone prior to giving birth (and it helped me to calm down since I knew what were normal ranges for a lot of things) It’s not like they don’t give you any info before, but these things are just a good reminder. They turned out really helpful in the first weeks (especially as a first-time mom) so I kept coming back to them. They cover: 1. Baby cues in the first weeks and what they mean 2. Baby stomach size and approximate feeding amounts (this is key so you know how much milk / formula and how many breastfeeding or pumping sessions to expect) 3. What to wear (important to look at the room temperature, many make the mistake and look at outside temperature and then over or underdress) 4. The easiest way to figure out whether your little one is hungry again (trust me, you will feed non-stop) 5. Tummy time chart (yes, most babies will hate it at first, but it really helps their development and building strength so make time during the wake windows) 6. Diaper expectations (really important to look at these. It’s your easiest indicator, except for them seeming content, that feeding is going well) I hope you found these helpful 📌 Save them for when you give birth 🙌🏻 Share these with a new or expecting mum Again, no medical advice, just what I saved as orientation for the first months #firsttimemom #newmom #momtok #momtobe #pregnant P.S. If you want to log baby things like feeding, diapers, pumping, sleep etc and set alarms so you don’t forget medicines or anything, test out Noora baby. We created it for other new parents so it’s simple, intuitive and free of ads or distractions. Test it via link in bio or search for “noora baby tracker” on iOS 🙏

my daughter was born and was drinking 4 Oz's. freaked the nurses out but she was a very hungry baby, by 1 month she was drinking 6 oz. oddly was in the 50 % for weight and 25% for height. happiest baby you have ever met.

I find it crazy how other doctors dont hand something out with this information. My doctor handed me a book with all of this and more, 2 months before my due date

Each baby’s different. Mines guzzled down 90ml a few hours after birth. Wouldn’t stop screaming if he got given less by the nurses 😂🙈

It’s good that they don’t because it’s not a “one size fits all” every baby is different

All of this information is offered to our patients on admission to our unit. The book is opened and gone over, it is also up to the patient and family to educate themselves with the resources they have.

I recently On boarded A New Employee Orientation Training and I had a 24 year old who had no idea what a PAPER CHART was. I was so taken back. I had to stand up and begin my sentence with, back in the old days we had these things called paper charts!! Let me tell you, I was well shook to my core!!
