Why is this wrong? 🤔 The present perfect (have been) connects the past to the present, so we don’t use it with finished time expressions like: 📅 last year 📅 yesterday 📅 in 2022 📅 two weeks ago ✅ I went to London last year. Use the past simple because last year is a finished time. Compare: ✅ I’ve been to London. (At some point in my life. We don’t say when.) ✅ I went to London last year. (We know exactly when.)
