now I feel really dumb, you are right, that "only one" future to defeat Thanos must be what later gets called The Sacred Timeline, it's all one bigger overarching plot, so big that most of us missed it

What if that one winning timeline wasn’t just about defeating Thanos… it was also about preventing Tony Stark from eventually becoming Doctor Doom? Maybe in the other timelines, Tony Stark becomes Doctor Doom. And what if the Doctor Doom we’re seeing now is actually Tony Stark from another multiverse? That could explain why Marvel brought Robert Downey Jr. back as Doom. 👀 Of course, this is just a theory. What Marvel has officially confirmed is that RDJ is returning as Victor von Doom.
