one thing I dont get is that gmm is quick to terminate the contract of a 15yr old but silent when adults do stuff, if anything the adults should meet more serious consequences. they were right to terminate the contract but please have the same mindset when adults do the same or worse

Am not supporting what he did but what I wanna let you guys know is that wen I was still 12 to 15 I never liked trump just becoz people I spend time with didn't like him.But if they liked him for sure I would have liked him too coz I knew nothing about him at all. I believe he was a kid and maybe he was following people who he spent time with anyways I hope he can learn from this though.

Anybody saying that kicking him out is “excessive” or “too far” needs to think harder. GMMTV makes primarily queer media and has a primarily female audience, thus GMMTV needs to remain a safe space for (you guessed it) queer people and women. Yes, it’s a sad situation for Justin, but I bet it’s sadder for the tens of thousands of humans who were hurt by Justin’s actions. Lastly, this sets an important precedent: it’s a reminder to BL actors that being openly homophobic/misogynistic is unacceptable, since it’s gay ppl and women that pay your bills. 🤷♀️There is really nothing to argue about.

Yes, he is a minor, and I agree that what he did was wrong. He should be held accountable. But removing him from the company completely feels too harsh because he is still a teenager. Now he has no job and no income. I think removing him from acting projects would have been enough. Terminating his contract entirely seems like an excessive punishment.

I'll be quite honest, I'm not shocked, he's a kid it makes sense that teen boys would probably be roaming the internet around this type of content. he's still young and has a lot to learn and this should be a HUGE learning moment for him. other than that I am not putting too much of my attention on whatever a teenager is doing or has done. I'm a grown adult. he ain't my kid or my client.

Naw am still side eyeing gmmtv. They let him release an apology just to test the waters and when people still wasn’t buying it that’s when they terminated his contract 🙄 if he would have gotten a lot of support they wouldn’t have fired him🙄

Hopefully he's young enough to learn, grow and change. I also hope that the adults in his life aren't reinforcing the rhetoric he's been spewing, allowing for positive change. It's good that the company took swift action, but the cynic in me can't help but feel that maybe it's only because he is young and hasn't built up a big following or industry connections yet.
