The adopter told us she was going to euthanize him. She even told the rescue she needed $1,000, claiming she was already at the veterinarian and that was the cost to euthanize him. She never gave him the medications he needed. Lies were told and Po suffered. When paws to the walls finally got Po back, he was unrecognizable He was severely dehydrated, emaciated, and covered in cuts, bruises, and painful wounds across his neck, face, and body. His neck has deep lacerations and severe trauma. His body bears the devastating effects of prolonged neglect. Everything we worked so hard to do—getting Po healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home—was destroyed. This wasn’t a failed adoption. This was abuse.
