So, my partner does this. We’ve been together many years. I can’t tell him now after all this time. I just have to accept it and tell myself it’s just his way. In fact, his entire family does it.

Someone sharing their experience with me after I share something doesn’t. bother me….. I feel like we are connecting rather than me just boring them…. 🤷🏽♀️and yesss.. I do the same thing… Especially if it happened to me too… I am like “oh my God…. me tooooo! “ we either laugh and connect and build a convo from there or if it’s a stranger, while we are waiting in line, we have a brief cordial interaction. I don’t think it’s rude unless someone is repeatedly cutting them off with out regard for them to totally finish the statement or a story. Sharing stories cultivates a bond…. nothing wrong with this Doctor. 💖

That’s not me at all. I’m interested in other people so usually I start talking about the topic that they have communicated to me. I may say something about my experience when the time is right, but it relates to their original story. It’s back-and-forth.

I’ve heard this and try to listen first and ask questions to get more. I do have a friend that I am getting to hate hanging out with. She takes over all the conversations and I never get a word in. Very frustrating.
