@lifewithsonduren: Sikhs have been wearing their Kirpans for decades without issue at gyms by concealing it under their clothing to ensure people around them don’t feel uneasy and unsafe (a natural reaction for many in Canada). All Sikhs I speak to do this to one degree or another to ensure they cause no undue hardship which is part of their beliefs. The other question is, does a gym have the right to have blanket policies to deny objects like daggers and knives regardless of political affiliation for the safety of their members?

I think some things should be protected in some scenarios and some not. I almost died cause my partner was in altercation with a client, client got it off of him before I got there and both of us got cut up pretty bad before we got it away from him.
