This is potentially bad advice. Everything is dependent on someone's financial goals. The market is not without volatility that includes the bond market. (Under the assumption by cash he means HYS and Treasuries) please come up with a plan to figure out whether this is good advice or not. We are in a historic market and I think it is a long term up trend but the market is not without volatility.
