1 small onion, finely diced
2 tsp chopped garlic
1½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp onion granules
½ tsp mustard powder 1 beef stock cube crumbled 
1½ tbsp tomato purée
1½ tbsp light soy sauce
1½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp honey
100g bbq sauce (I use Heinz Classic BBQ) 50g passata 1-2 ladles of water 
Salt & pepper
Olive oil spray
 Calories per portion of beef (based on 5 serves):
270 l Protein: 34.3g l Fat: 8g l Carbs: 14.3g  For the cheesy mash (serves 2): 500g maris piper potatoes  15g lighter butter spread  80ml semi-skimmed milk  40g reduced fat cheddar grated  Salt  Black pepper Calories per portion: 303 l Protein: 11.8g l Fat: 7.35g l Carbs: 45.7g 
 💕Spray a non-stick pan with oil and place over high heat. 💕Pat the beef dry and add to the pan in batches. Sear on all sides until browned.  💕Remove from the pan and transfer to the slow cooker.  💕Add the onion and chopped garlic, before seasoning with the paprika, onion granules, mustard powder, along with salt and pepper.  💕Crumble over the beef stock cube, before stirring through the tomato puree, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, bbq sauce and passata. 
💕Cook on low for 6-7 hours, or 3-4 hours on high until the beef is tender.  💕Shred the beef with two forks and simmer 5–10 min (lid off) to thicken the sauce until sticky and glossy.
 For the mash:  When there is 20 minutes left on the beef, add the potatoes to a large pan of cold salted water.  Bring to the boil for 12-15 minutes until tender then drain. Season with salt and pepper, before adding in the butter and milk.
