Abu Dhabi is a good example of why language and nationality don’t always match. In the UAE, only about 10% of the population are Emirati citizens, while the other 90% are expatriates from countries such as the Philippines, Egypt, India, the United Kingdom, and many others. Because of this diversity, public signs are often in both Arabic and English. Arabic remains the official language, while English serves as a common language that helps residents and visitors from many different backgrounds communicate and navigate daily life. So in Michigan, the official language is still English and it will never change it just accommodate the vast majority of the locals there, but that does not mean that it’s going to become the Middle East all of a sudden. America will always be America don’t worry. and when you go visit other countries, they will accommodate you as well, not Japan but every other country.
