It’s okay, my love. ❤️This world is one big race, but our children were never made to run the same race as everyone else. They’re meant to follow their own path, at their own pace.
Trying to force them into someone else’s expectations is like trying to fit a big, beautiful heart into a tiny glass—it simply won’t fit. The only way to make it fit is to break it.
So instead of breaking our children to meet society’s standards, let’s give them the freedom to grow into who they are, wherever time takes them.
Their journey is different, not less.
Sending you the biggest hug. 🤍

It doesn’t hurt if you take them out of a system not made for them. My son is 12 never been to school and he is thriving. He learns through interests, reads so much and has written three notebooks about animals. Arbitrary milestones don’t matter x

Momma, that baby of yours has skills outside of paperwork. His brain works on a different frequency to some children and that’s okay because every piece of glitter sparkles the same, no matter the shape, colour or size ❤️

I can feel every emotion in this video. It’s a heartbreak you can never explain to someone. It’s like the penny drops very loudly and you’re sitting there with a millions different thoughts and worries all at once. Grieving the life you had planned for yourself and your child but also loving the life yous have together and not wanting to change a single part of your baby but it just hurts so badly. I’m crying with you mama 😪

Remember the report is aimed at neurotypical children. If his report was based on Neurodiverse children he would be hitting loads of the milestones. Jacks report next year will be amazing ☺️

for my more severe autistic children (in mainstream) who are both 8 but only working at reception level I totally miss out the levels page. The parents know already where they are working they don’t need to see it. X

Stop focusing on what other children are doing, focus on your sons achievements even if they are small to others they are massive to him x

I feel you, our daughter is on the pathway, has sensory issues, issues with food and struggling at school, (although masks at school). she absolutely hates school and has so much anxiety around going to school BUT she is the kindest soul, so loving caring and I wouldn’t change her for the world. Our kids will find their own way and achieve great things in their own unique way 🥰 ♥️

Needed to see this today. I'm sitting here crying over our sweet boy’s report. Nothing but 'below' grades, and it feels so isolating. It’s hard not to let it break your heart. Thank you for showing the raw reality of being a SEN parent. We've got this. 💪❤️

You can ask they don’t put negatives, Darcies memory loss is too painful to read for us. So her teachers only put positives. But remember not every i can do you can do, and not everything you do i can do…. Everyone’s unique and their own person. Jacks great the way he is, because he’s your Jack xx
