Girl as a Rez native I was about to write you off because I feel like the skinwalker term has been over saturated and misused online. But like no that’s exactly what u saw 😭 they’re not cryptids, they’re witches that use dark magic to shapeshift. They walk amongst us everyday. If you’re not their target, you’re probably fine as long as you stay away from them. I feel like they do things like this to scare ppl, either for their fear or just to mess with them or because they’re attention-seekers. They use this ability to spy and travel mostly.

virginia, had to have been 1997 or 98. im looking at the deer, theres a group of them out in the field across from my grandparents farm, when one of the deer twisted its head the wrong was and stood up like a person and looked right at us before my grandfather told me to look away. "don't look at them, they dont like bwing watched, leave them alone and theyll leave you alone. I call them not-deer, i don't know what they are, but leave them alone and you'll be OK" - my grandfather.

everyone thinks they are safe in the city from sw. back home on the rez its more common for them to roam around, since they aren't seen as much. but when I tell you I've seen them in the city. remember everyone you can smell em before you see them if youre not driving. be careful when you're walking alone. dont show fear thats what they are drawn to.

These stories always make me wonder if super religious people have run into them as well but don’t realize it because they don’t believe in the spiritual/paranormal/supernatural, and they just think “ah… that person ( or animal) , is a little odd but I’m sure they’re nice!”

Yes they are real we are Navajo btw… my great grandfather was driving and he got into an accident with one he thought it was a coyote or a dog as well but then it shaped shifted and he ended up at the same hospital as the person who shaped shifted

One time I was driving at night with my sister in the passenger seat & our best friend in the back. We were driving under a bridge overpass and saw a man in a hoodie with his hood up. As my headlights showed on him & we got closer, we could see he had no face. No eyes, no nose, and no mouth. My sister screamed “HE HAS NO FACE!!” and as we passed him it was confirmed because he “looked” back and there was still no face. There is no way all 3 of us imagined that.

This happened to one of my friends. She was on her way to college with a couple of her friends. This was a little more south east from where you were at. She saw a coyote on the side of the road running and it turned into a man and ran next to her car … she was going 50mph and it kept up with her car! He finally ran into the desert. 😱

I have also had an encounter in the AZ desert 😫 on a 7 day camping/rafting trip as a teen and we slept with no tents just bags. Girl next to me woke me up and told me not to look behind me but to stay awake with her so it wouldn't get her. Our guide woke up and shot off a flare and that was NOT an animal😫
