Someone else called 911 and hung up. They must’ve been convincingly scared bc the cops made them ask everyone. It’s happened at different hotels I’ve worked at. Usually it’s an accident but if they can’t find who did it and make sure it’s not an emergency we have to confirm. If anything they do it to help avoid trafficking and DV

This sounds like a human trafficking situation possibly they could’ve had their own room and somehow new you were alone in your room got your room number and called you from their room to make them seem like it was the front desk calling! I’m so sorry this happened to you please stay safe 💗

This happened to me years ago when I was with my 3 year old daughter. The knocking came at 3am. However they were pounding I broke the law and needed to open the door. I picked up our phone to call the front desk and the phone was not working. I called the cops and was escorted out, when the cops got there the cameras were magically not working. This happened at the quality inn that was in upper Sandusky. I 100% think the front desk staff were in on it. they placed us in a 1st floor room by a back exit next to the truck stop side.
