@heatherrmarshall.com: There are trips that change your scenery, and then there are trips that change you. I left home carrying questions I couldn’t answer, expectations I couldn’t control, and things I had been holding onto for far too long. Somewhere along the way, I realized that not everything is meant to make the journey back with us. So I let go. I let go of needing every ending to make sense. I let go of trying to force what wasn’t flowing. I let go of carrying responsibility for things that were never mine to fix. And in making room, I found something I hadn’t realized I’d been missing. Myself. I’m coming home lighter than I left. Stronger than I knew I was. More certain of what I deserve. More protective of my peace. More willing to trust the quiet voice within me instead of the noise around me. The mountains didn’t give me answers. They simply created enough space for me to hear my own. Sometimes that’s all we need. Here’s to coming home with less weight on our shoulders, more confidence in our hearts, and the courage to leave behind anything that asks us to betray ourselves in order to keep it. The next chapter feels different. So do I.
