This is how theyre seen: lightskin women= femine in a good way, lightskin men = feminine in a bad way, darksin women= masculine in a bad way, and darksin men= masculine in a good way. I don’t know the exact reasoning behind it but it is a pattern I’ve picked up on

I really feel like we are still colonized in a way because colorism is a cousin of racism. 1. Darker-skinned people cannot be colorist to lighter-skinned people because they are the ones who are oppressed. 2 this started from the slave master 🍇ing black women and creating lighter skin children and treating them better because they had white blood enforcing that ideal images into their head which created colorism as a whole! the reason why light skin people especially the women now days feel superior to the dark skin women is because of that reason! For centuries darkskin women were taught to hate their skin, hair and the texture of their hair for literally having African descent. Please remember when you think you are superior because you are lighter just know that the whites thought that too.
