I don't know how countries like Spain do it but the problem here is that trials happen at an age where certain players are much bigger physically and dominate the trials while more technical players can't do anything at that age

Mainoo is that midfielder who should be the heart of their midfield. Someone who can get the ball in tight spaces and turn to create space for attackers, someone who demands the ball all the time and pass forward.

As an ex pro I’m 100% agreeing with this, the midfield worth 300+ million can’t actually progress the ball, create chances or score goals. Wingers who can’t beat there man or cross the ball or end product but they run for ages so they are the 1st name on the sheet 🤷🏼♂️even I had a manager telling me to run 10k before a game nothing else just run 🤯 how can you respect that

Bellingham can turn it on bruv, he is both athletic and more than capable of playing with Flair. Players like him suffer in over-coached systems similar to how Cherki was benched for France vs Spain; even though his Flair was the answer they needed to win the game. Tuchel played a system centred around Harry Kane and nothing else, Bellingham actually over performed this tournament, especially while playing in such a restrictive system.
