@soocanadian: Ontario Premier Doug Ford is pushing back against criticism from some U.S. politicians over wildfire smoke drifting south from Canada, saying the focus should be on providing support rather than pointing fingers. “If there’s some politicians out there chirping away, well, maybe what you should do rather than complain is send support, send help,” Ford said. “Because we have done the exact same thing for our American friends.” More than 800 wildfires are currently burning across Canada, with some of the largest fires producing heavy smoke that has spread across provinces and into communities in both Canada and the United States.
