I would say uniform, as it represents the professionalism that we as pilots maintain. In my mind, a costume is something you wear when you’re trying to portray/pretend to be something that you’re not. Halloween is what I think of when I hear the word costume.

I think a little bit of both. To your co workers and the older passengers it’s a uniform so you want to look respectable and clean representing the company, but to the little kid who’s looking in the cockpit and wants to be the pilot, it’s a costume, because for a couple of hours the pilots are their superhero’s.

I would have said costume. The reason is because in Halloween people choose to wear a pilot uniform as a costume because that’s where some people dream to be. I would see it as a costume as a reminder that I’m lucky enough to be living other people dream. It’s a good reminder putting on the pilot 👩✈️attire as a reminder of how many people only dream of being a pilot, however, I’m wearing it for real 😭

I’d almost answer neither lol. I feel like costume implies that it’s something you’re “not”, like the top gun pilot costume people dress up for Halloween. They’re usually not pilots. But in sense of uniform; the job isn’t *me*. Outside of my TikTok platform I built on flying, I don’t make every ounce of my life about my job. I wear the uniform, do my stuff, go home and then live the real person I am. My job doesn’t define the things outside the uniform
