They don’t leak the photos! They hope you’re married or DL so that you send them money. It’s a new common scam method on gay men! They will ask for like $800 and do a countdown, after sending names and numbers of your friends & family off of a quick search, and threaten to leak the pics to them unless you Apple Pay them money. Just block them and forget about it! They move right onto the next person.

Yeah I’ve had it happen to friends too and they didn’t do anything. They’re just trying to scam people. It sucks that Grindr isn’t doing anything. They get demanding but eventually give up.

This happened to me exactly. They also send screenshots and you can reverse the ip address from their screenshots and pin where they are. I ignored them but almost exactly happened to me

I literally told them I was broke because I was I had a negative balance and then proceeded to call 911. The officer that came was hot I was embarrassed they had to see the convo but they told me a detective would follow up and recommended to file with the FBI.
