@interestingengineering: Swiss startup mimic robotics has unveiled the mimic hand M1, a tendon-driven robotic hand built for factory floors. With 15 active degrees of freedom across 21 joints and motors housed in the forearm, it lifts more than 25 kg in a power grasp yet is so backdrivable it can sense a weight as light as 50 grams through motor current alone. Every joint doubles as a force sensor (resolving contact down to 0.1 N), fingertips add shear-force touch, and the whole hand survives repeated hammer blows and 45-degree hyperextension. mimic also revealed the U1 "umimic" wearable, an exoskeleton that lets people record demonstrations mapped 1:1 to the robot , part of a full-stack bet to keep the human hand as a fixed spec from training data to deployment. #mimicrobotics #mimicHandM1 #RoboticHand #Robotics

Veritas et Tempestas :
I wonder if there is a better way we can design the hand. Once it's upto us how we do it.
