It’s so bizarre. I broke away from Christianity and being a republican in 2016. Watching Christians support Trump made me lose my faith. And a Muslim man is restoring my faith that good people do still exist.

When he was campaigning, he called unhoused people “New Yorkers”and I choked up because I realized I’ve never heard another NYC mayor refer to them as my fellow New Yorkers. He refuses to dehumanize anyone and it’s so wonderful.

I am not a Christian. But I can absolutely appreciate what this man is doing. He even looks genuine while doing it, it doesn’t look forced at all like it would with so many politicians. Love what this guy is doing! 👏
