Gen ai has had little benefit to consumers while driving up the prices of literally everything it has cooked gaming and art meanwhile local governments are selling out to ai companies and ceasing people's houses to make data centers that offer no benefits to the community and making them pay for it by increasing utilities

The two main reasons people hate date centers are water/energy consumption & farm land. Parking lots take way more space, most new data centers are closed loop and they build new infrastructure for the grid

We have a reason to hate data centers even if we use them, we were coerced into using technology in society, as its been implemented into education, jobs , finance, entertainment, communication, s*x, ect, Its not performative to be against something thats getting rid of our drinking water, when theres several other ways to cool the hardware.
