This is helpful information as I still ha e my Mom's down blankets in storage that I have e felt too guilty to part with. I also have an Oak rolltop desk that was my Dad's that Mom would not allow me to part with. I have been wondering if ok to part with the desk now that Mom has passed

I’m keeping all my Sons clothes etc they say it’s bad to lose our give away there shoes, there the shoes they walked through life in , every shoes has a story of there life, I haven’t got that far yet, as to cleaning out their bedroom 💔💔💔

Erica, I had a really awful memory randomly come back to me about a loved one who passed away last month. It’s a memory I haven’t thought of in over 5 years. Why did this memory cross my mind? Did they place it in my thoughts? Why did they pick such a bad moment? Usually I only remember/dream of the happy times with them. It has been hurting me a lot 🥺😔

I got rid of everything, I dealt with an alcoholic, who passed suddenly, so going through everything being the youngest, and who lived with them I have found a lot of what was a surprise to me, so yes, getting rid of things from them is hard and you cry, but it’s something that has to be done, but it’s never easy.
