@BryanstevenKR: Encourage us to change medical insurance to govt rather than private as premium is expensive. No enough bed in CGH is always the problems for years. Nothing solved. Population keep increasing but infrastructure not there at all. Give pls hear us…..

i once had pneumonia symptoms and also stayed in a%e 12 hours. they gave me oxygen, antibuotics IV and all i had to was just lie down, rest and wait until i got a bed in ward. whats the need to rush to a ward? its not like youre not receiving treatment while in a&e. relax lah.

My father waited 2 days before getting a bed but still well taken care at the emergency department. They given him a bed at emergency.

The doctors are tired. The nurses are tired. It’s not their fault our government didn’t provide enough beds and expand the hospital to cater to more patients due to rising old population.

Understanding the constraints our medical institutions are experiencing. But if these are not just an occasional incident rather that it is an issues for the longest time, then the medical management should review its current system and form a better triage team or patient/family care team. It is not about “not rejecting patient” and leaving patients and families in distress or limbo, not know what to do next…

I've been to SGH and NUH A&E myself. While waiting for a bed in the ward, patients are admitted to the emergency ward. That means nurses still take care of them and keep a close eye on them. Singapore has one of the best healthcare systems in the world. I'm really grateful.

I rmb 3 years ago i went to cgh A&E as i lost any feeling on my legs and i cant feel the urgency to pee/shit as well. They didnt give me any test/check and just send me back with vitamins. They set me an appt with neurosurgent only 1 mth later.

I can't say for CGH but for the other hospitals I've been to for A&E, I get that there are more important emergencies to attend to and as serious as my condition I'm in, it's not life threatening. as long as there is a bed and I'm being treated while waiting inside A&E, the doctors have done their due diligence. My most serious A&E was for appendicitis, and they had to monitor my white blood count to assess for the seriousness. I went in at 5am, I was only warded at 12am the following day and operated on at 1am. That was 20 years ago.
