I work at a rock quarry and the excavator I run doesn’t have working ac when the feels like is 90+ and you have the rock dust flying everywhere it feels like hell

drive a garage truck with no AC in Florida..then talk to me..you sit over the motor.. temp is 120 to 140 ..

i was running a cat haul truck when i started. exhaust runs right up by the back window. ac went out. only has 1 window. if you open the door it won't shift out of 1st. boss said to keep running it. next day i brought a thermometer it was 120+ in the cab.

I live in Arizona. If you have an enclosed cab, the air conditioning has to work. It'll get to a 170° inside the cab.

Yea people dont realize how hot it actually is on open cab equipment. Its actually close to 20 degrees hotter than on the ground. I worked for the city and they had nothing but open cab equipment in southeast GA. It was hell!

Spent all week covering a landfill in a 140H. Hottest week this year in Colorado. AC took a crap last week, mechanic can’t get to it till next week. Definitely don’t want to run open doors at a working landfill. 🤢. People always tease about being in AC on a machine, they don’t realize how much heat these machines generate, and very little insulation, if any at all. Fishbowl effect is real!

I've had it get up to a 130 in an excavator with no AC and my phone shut off because it overheated.

it's a Komatsu, normally thier a/c is dialed in! Get so cold in the cab you need to wear a sweater lol
