@nevanimates: when it comes to the question of why God saw it fit to put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden it's a question of his sovereignty, i believe if life continued in the garden it would be empty, there would be no pursuit. once you fall in love with the assignment that God has set up for you on earth you realize that an existence in a heavenly bliss which is the garden, defeats the point of being alive. Now heaven is still our ultimate destination as Christians but i believe we need to fall in- love with pursuing what has been set out for us, to pursue. It can get very easy to become despondent as a Christian and just want to focus on eternity and living in a blissful oasis like heaven, but we need to enjoy the pursuit of what God has ordained us to do on earth, while still focusing on heaven. To sum up all of this, we need to find a balance between wanting to die and going to be in heaven forever and wanting to actually do something on earth with our talents/gifts. Also the idea that God put the tree in the garden to test our love for him and to give us choice, can also suffice not trying to counter that view of scripture. #christiancontentcreator✝️ #jesus #bible #bibleanimation

Mr. Azula Worrior :
I doubt there's a purpose to life specifically, because there's so much you can do with it. And the world as we know it wasn't meant to have problems. If it did, Adam & Eve would've been made as we are, there'd be no need to plant the tree there. But he gave them the freedom to do whatever, even if there were consequences to doing so. For Adam & Eve that was an eventual but not immediate death, & a life spent tilling the ground for food they were once provided. But Yahweh punished Mary specifically with greater labor pains, & had her submit Adam instead of taking her own paths. Which made sense because Adam knew more about the garden & animals than her. Although he was at fault for letting her talk to a serpent ( that he already knew shouldn't be speaking period ) whose only goal was to lead her astray. A serpent that didn't start with a hello or a "how's it going" 👋, just " go do that one thing Yahweh told you NOT to do" 🤨. But that's kind analogous to what goes on in our lives. The bible gives us clear instructions on how to honor him throughout our lives with just 10 commandments. And while he does provide more wisdom than just the 10 commandments, it's not always easy to live by them. It's not just "falling short" sometimes we deliberately disobey him to do what we want, whether or not it's good for us. Which is why the story exists, if Adam & Eve would've abstained from the fruit we'd be living on an earth analogous to the new earth foretold at the end of Revelation 20-22. No death, no tilling at the ground, just a life spent together & with Yahweh. ( I'll explain that down below ).
