I don’t know if i’m using it wrong or if moonshot’s subscription is just way less subsidized than openai and anthropic but man i haven’t been able to get ANY work done on the $20 plan with K3 or K2.7. So far i’ve been able to get 2-3 large tasks done on fable5 ultracode in the 5 hour limit, and 5-6 on sol 5.6 max. Couldn’t even get halfway through 1 medium sized task on K3 max in the 5 hour limit.

It won’t be long before a model can be run on cheaper hardware and not depend on Nvidia for its chips. The sell off does show how sensitive the market is to open source chinese models so when something eventually comes out to compete with frontier models, it will definitely shake up the market.

Bro deepseek is very much relevant in AI spaces for value compute, it’s dirt cheap, just not super private. The new model they workin on is rumored be be well above k3. You don’t hear from the Chinese firms as much, they put their heads down after a model release, less fancy marketing than the us.
