@castielvscancer: 💛 For over a year now, Castiel has depended on his feeding tube to get the nutrition he needs. 💙 His skin is very irritated and sensitive — even though we rotate sides constantly, the prolonged use has left marks and worn down his delicate skin. We’ve tried removing the tube a few times, we’ve done trials, but the reality is he still isn’t able to feed himself: he eats very little, just two or three small things a day, in tiny amounts. So for now, the tube isn’t something he can go without — he needs it to keep getting the nutrients his little body requires. Right now he’s doing his last round of immunotherapy medication at home. Our hope is that in the coming month or months, he’ll be able to start eating on his own again so we can finally give his skin the rest it needs — it’s been through so much for so long.
